Identification Requirements

Each individual that is seeking notary services will need to present at least one form of identification. The signer’s ID must be current and NOT expired; contain the signer’s photograph, personal description, and signature; and bear a serial or other identifying numbers.  Below is a list of acceptable forms if identification.

• Driver’s License issued by a U.S. state. 
• State-issued identification card 
• U.S. passport 
• Foreign passport stamped by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). 
• US Military Identification Card that contains all required elements stated above, (The Common Access Card CAC is not acceptable). 
• Driver’s license issued in Mexico or Canada. 
• Inmate ID issued by the Idaho Dept. of Corrections.
